Technician (Multi-Skilled Decorator)
Role: Technician (Multi-Skilled Decorator)
Purpose:
To work within a local team providing technical/maintenance services on site and in customers’ premises. To provide consistent, service driven satisfaction.
Context:

Accountabilities:
• Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety are implemented to
protect our colleagues, customers and general public.
• Carry out quality technical/maintenance and repair work on site
and in customers’ premises in a safe and responsible manner
• Support Lead Technician by inspecting proposed work and
preparing estimates/quotations for submission
• Ensure customer delight by promoting the highest standards of
service delivery and workmanship in accordance with Rok standards
• Take ownership of the maintenance of equipment and tools to carry
out your role effectively
• Ensure you act in an appropriate polite and courteous manner at all
times with your colleagues and our customers
• Help other technicians carry out maintenance and repair works
when required
• Maintain receipts for all purchases and forward all relevant
paperwork to your local office to allow invoicing to be completed in a
timely and accurate manner
• Report regularly on the progress of work being undertaken
• Adhere to stated company policies and procedures and carry out all
duties in a way which is consistent with and which promotes Rok
values
Experience:
• Experience in either the property/construction industries
• Experience of working on site and in customers' premises
• Working within a team environment
• Good understanding of Customer Service Levels and Key
Performance Indicators - Desirable
• Ability to inspect work and prepare an outline quotation – Nice to
Have
• Laying of Vinyl Flooring - Desirable
• Patch Plastering – Essential
• Artexing – Desirable
• Finishing Trade (Decorating, Wall Paper hanging & Wall Tiling to
highest standards) - Essential
Skills:
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as alone and to a
high level of accuracy
• Trade skills relevant to property maintenance or construction
• Passion for customer service
• Good communication skills, friendly personality and considerate
• A desire to make a positive change to everyone’s working
environment
• Ability to complete job sheets and quotations for work
• Flexibility and receptiveness to change
• Pride in their workmanship
• Be well organised, able to plan and share work with fellow team
members
Location: Oxford
Reporting to: Team Leader
Salary: TBA / Dependant on experience
