Technician (Gas Safe Plumber / Multi Skilled)

Role: Gas Safe Plumber/Multi Skilled

Purpose:
To Complete all aspects of new build and maintenance plumbing and heating.

Context:

Accountabilities:
• Carry out quality installations work in customers' premises in a safe
and responsible manner
• Ensure customer delight by promoting the highest standards of
service delivery and work in accordance with the specification
• Ensure you act in a polite and courteous manner at all
times with your colleagues and customers
• Ability to carry out work in schools, community centres &
residential homes
• Ability to carry out other work such as labouring, minor carpentry, minor electrical, minor plastering, tiling, etc would
be an advantage, however training will be available
• Help other technicians at any time carry out their work when
required
• Carry our risk assessment and method statements, and ensure
work is done safely
• Report regularly on the progress of work being undertaken by you

Experience:
• Experience of working in customers' homes
• Gas safe standard qualifications
• History of excellent customer service
• Kitchen and bathroom installations and/or L.A. schools, Community
Centres, Care Homes & Libraries
• Maintenance and problem solving experience would be useful

Skills:
• Ability to work on own initiative and to high level of accuracy
• Trade skills relevant to planned & reactive maintenance in either
housing and/or Local Authority works
• Passion for customer service
• Good communication skills, friendly personality and considerate
• Ability to complete job sheets for works and Risk Assessments
• Flexibility and receptiveness to change
• Pride in their work
• Well organised
• Team player
• Prepared to respond to ‘out of hours’ work
• Initiative


Location: Reading

Reporting to: Team Leader

Salary: TBA / Dependant on experience
