Storekeeper (Preston)
Purpose of the role:
To work within a local team ensuring the smooth operation of stock/plant and delivery to site.
Role Accountabilities:
• You will need to be extremely organised, communicate clearly and work well under pressure
• You will be responsible for the checking in and out including documentation and filing of all deliveries.
• Ensure all deliveries are stored accurately in there allotted areas ready for delivery to the customers premises
• Ensure all stock is kept clean and safe from accidental damage during both storage and delivery
• Carry out pre-checks prior to final fitting dates
• To ensure prompt delivery to site
• To ensure the store holds sufficient hospital stock/consumables
• You will be required to chase stock
• Ensure that all waste is collected from site, returned and placed in the correct containers
• Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety are implemented to protect you colleagues, customers and general public.
• You will be responsible for the general housekeeping of the stores
• You will need to be both a team player and work well on your own
• Maintain receipts for all purchases and forward all relevant paperwork to your local office to allow invoicing to be completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Report regularly on the progress of work being undertaken
• Adhere to stated company policies and procedures and carry out all duties in a way which is consistent with and which promotes Rok values
• Ensure customer delight by promoting the highest standards of service delivery and workmanship in accordance with Rok standards
Experience Required:
• Experience in general warehouse/storemen duties
• You will need to have a good understanding of general computer software
• Good all round Health and Safety knowledge
• Experience of working on site and in customer’s premises
• Working within a team environment
• Good understanding of Customer Service Levels and Key Performance Indicators
Skills Required:
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously and to a high level of accuracy
• Passion for customer service
• Good communication skills, friendly personality and considerate
• A desire to make a positive change to everyone’s working environment
• Ability to complete job sheets and file accurately
• Flexibility and receptiveness to change
• Pride in their workmanship
• Be well organised, able to plan and share work with fellow team members
Location: Based in Preston but will require someone who is flexible to travel to Oldham
