About the RCF

The RCF has regular meetings with the aim of supporting, monitoring and reviewing key Rok wide communication and consultation processes. These gatherings allow direct dialogue with the Chief Executive and other senior executives as well as including presentations on the half-year and final financial results.

Among the principal activities of the RCF are the preparation and administration of the Annual People Survey and monitoring the subsequent local and national improvement plans.

The RCF is also responsible for publication of The Rok Citizen newspaper, the 'Ask Garvis' electronic discussion forum and disseminating important information appearing on Roknet to citizens without access to PCs.

Other areas of concern for the Forum are the way Rok measures up as an employer against external benchmarks such as the 'Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For' and the sharing of best practice within the company. It is also keen to identify, support and encourage employee benefit schemes.

There is a written constitution which states that membership should not exceed 25 so some Rok offices are represented by sub groups which meet regularly with their Forum member. Members have a two-year tenure of office and attend approximately nine meetings a year.
