About Nationally
Rok has its roots in the West Country and was born when the former EBC
Group was rebranded to reflect its desire to revolutionise the way people
experienced development, building and maintenance services.
EBC had been formed by two successful Exeter builders in 1939 to combine the efforts of a number of local firms to meet Government criteria for doing war-damage work. EBC Group joined the unlisted Securities Market of the London Stock Exchange in 1981, and moved to the Official List of the London Stock Exchange in 1988.
March 2001 saw the Group rebranded as Rok with the three Rok stars in the Group's logo representing its core services: development, building and maintenance. Today, Rok continues its steady and sustainable expansion through a mixture of organic growth and acquisition and the Board has made known its intention to increase its outlets across the UK to more than 100 in the next five years.
